At Bird Dog CrossFit, our coaching staff isn’t just a group of trainers—they’re leaders, mentors, and motivators who genuinely care about your progress. Each coach brings their own unique background and expertise, but what unites them is a shared passion for helping people move better, get stronger, and push beyond their perceived limits.
PEOPLE
MEET OUR TEAM

Patrick is the founder of Bird Dog CrossFit, where he fosters a strong, inclusive community. With a background in CrossFit since 2012, he mentors athletes and coaches, hosts events, and continuously enhances the gym experience with innovative programs and competitions.

Born and raised in Colorado, Pam was a level 10 gymnast who became a professional acrobat, high diver, and aerialist. After a severe spinal injury, she turned to CrossFit in 2010, regaining strength and overcoming pain. With 20+ years of coaching gymnastics and CrossFit, she loves helping others achieve what they thought was impossible. Married with two daughters, she enjoys wine and dreams of peaceful playtime. Fun fact: she met her husband while cliff diving at Casa Bonita!

Jordyn, a lifelong athlete, competed in cross country, track, and soccer before discovering CrossFit. A Bird Dog CrossFit member for over a year, she recently joined as a coach while pursuing her CF-L1. Passionate about competition, she lives on a small farm with her husband, goats, horses, a cat, and two dogs, including her bird dog, Deke.

Joy Nowakowski found CrossFit in 2015, transforming her fitness and mindset. After 20 years in education, she transitioned to real estate in 2017. A mother of three, she now coaches at Bird Dog CrossFit, balancing her passion for fitness with a thriving career and family life.

In Progress

Tony found CrossFit in his late 40s and earned his CF-L1 in 2024. A former football player, he later embraced fitness through CrossFit, bootcamps, and half marathons. With a background in tech consulting, he now coaches at Bird Dog CrossFit. He and his wife, Nancy, relocated to Colorado to be near family. He enjoys pickleball, golf, bird hunting, and hiking.

In progress.
Micah Boriack is a doctor of physical therapy with Onward Denver. Micah graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oregon before completing her doctor of physical therapy degree at Regis University and graduating on the Dean’s list. She remains committed to excellence in her clinical practice and her constant pursuit of new knowledge and skills. Micah is an expert manual therapist and uses her skillset to knock out your pain and get you back to the activities that you love. Micah’s training as a certified strength and conditioning specialist, through the NSCA, also ensures that you’ll receive an exercise program that addresses your individual weaknesses to improve your strength and coordination beyond where you started pre-injury. In her time outside of the clinic, Micah enjoys doing CrossFit workouts and getting outside with her husband and son. You shouldn’t suffer through an injury alone - add Micah to your team so that you can focus on tackling your goals.
ABOUT US
Coaching fitness is more than prescribing workouts—it's about connection, observation, and adaptation. A great coach understands movement mechanics but also reads people, recognizing when to push and when to pull back. It’s an art of communication, balancing motivation with technical instruction, and creating an environment where athletes feel both challenged and supported. True coaching isn’t about demonstrating strength—it’s about fostering it in others.
