I was raised in Garfield, Georgia, but attended college in Troy, New York where I was in the NROTC unit. Knowing that part of my job as a Marine was to be physically fit, I ended up finding a love for the gym and outdoor activities. Soon after, I began competing in powerlifting and knew immediately I wanted to coach one day!
After I graduated college, I commissioned into the Marine Corps and while stationed in Texas, some friends asked me to try out CrossFit to become a more well-rounded athlete and better Marine. (Powerlifting made me strong – but I couldn’t run to save my life!) Even though I was absolutely terrified to try CrossFit initially, in April of 2019, I gave it a shot and was hooked immediately.
While still in the Marine Corps, I decided to pursue my Personal Training certification and began helping people in any way I could. I have been a CF-L1 trainer since 2021 and am currently pursuing education to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a CF-L2 Trainer in 2024!
After getting out of the Marine Corps, I decided to move to Colorado to explore all it has to offer and build a life where I can help as many people as possible! Soon after, I found Bird Dog CrossFit and fell in love with the community immediately.
My favorite things outside of the gym are Jesus, my people, and my pets. (You may have seen my little assistant coach Penny running around, but she also has a cat sister – Delilah). I love to hike, read, and make people laugh.
